Effect of Open versus closed chain exercises on chronic ankle instability
Order Description
Closed (CKC) and open kinetic chain (OKC) exercises are commonly used in the treatment of ankle instability, however, limited data exist regarding their efficacy on physical therapy outcome measures in subjects with Chronic Ankle Instability “mainly functional ankle instability”.
The purpose was to compare the effect of open kinetic chain (OKC) and closed kinetic chain (CKC) exercises on dynamic postural control and self-reported function in subjects with chronic ankle instability. I need a three page introduction about the subject, addressing the problem.
• Short Definition, Prevalence, and problems subjects encounter as having ankle instability.
• Exercises (open vs closed) definition or meaning
• Previous literature on the issue “ankle (Tibialis anterior/Peroneus longs) and Hip muscles (Gluteus maximus and medius) strength and activities and their relation to reinjury “ankle instability”. Postural stability and reinjury, etc.
• Gap in the literature and ending with the aim
Anyway, a paper introduction is required about the purpose of the study.
