Some students will work with clients throughout the course of the semester and be able to select one client and discuss that work over time. Students in settings in which the work is very brief (e.g., hospital and mental hospital settings) can use one client for Part I. Then in Part II, assuming they are no longer working with the same client, they can take a related case in which their approach contained similar elements to the first case. They will briefly present the client, the family and discuss the assessment and method selected, and then evaluate that method in terms of its effectiveness with more than one client in their setting. While each client is unique.
