Assessment 1: GROUP ASSIGNMENT (50% of overall module mark)

Groups
This is a group assignment.  You should join with colleagues to form a group of FIVE. (A group of four is acceptable but no concessions will be made if this is the case.).  The group members’ registration form (appendix 1) must be completed and submitted at the scheduled workshop in Week commencing 23 Feb.  It is the responsibility of each student to ensure that they are a member of a group.

Instructions:
The group is required to choose a public limited company
(plc.) from within the industry that forms its members’ field of study.  Using the latest available annual reports and accounts, the company website, and other sources such as the business and financial press, the group must gather relevant information about the plc. and monitor its operations and progress over the next three months.

The group is required to progressively study the industry’s and the plc.’s business environment over the next three months in order to assess the impact that this will have on the chosen company over the later half of 2015 and into 2016.

Using the results of the above research, the group is required to construct and submit a ‘fact sheet’ and a ‘Business Report’ as instructed in the following two tasks
