Topic: A critical examination of environmental impact assessment
Order Description
For this assignment you are required to write a report based on the review of Environmental Statements conducted by each of the groups. The report should address the following tasks:

a) Based on the Lee & Colley ES Review Package criteria, EIA best practice guidelines and research papers critically assess the key strengths and shortcomings of the Environmental Statements;

b) With reference to ONE key area* of impact assessment practice, assess the current ‘state of the art’ in conducting and reporting on environmental impact studies and assess the extent to which this is reflected in the Mersey Gateway case study.
