Locate a HIM professional to interview on strategic planning. The HIM professional should have a RHIA or RHIT. Arrange for the interview. The interview may be conducted by e-mail, phone or in-person. Create a list of at least 10 questions to ask during the interview. At minimum the following questions must be included: What does strategic planning mean to you? What is your role in strategic planning? How is enterprise-wide information used in strategic planning? What role does information play in strategic planning in the healthcare industry?
