Adolescence
a.Describe and analyze your memories from this stage of life.
b.Things started to get better. My peers started to apologize to me.
c.How important were peers at this stage?
My best friend at the time helped in rebuilding my confidence. She knew everything that I went though, and I believe she came into my life to show me how important my life was/is. She was what I needed in order for me to grow.
d.Describe your school experience.
School was basic. I was shy, awkward, but okay.
e.Discuss your relationship with caregivers.
My mother did everything to support for us. I had a really good/healthy relationship with her. I didn’t talk to my dad at all during this stage of my life. He was going insane. He told me I would never amount to anything and that choosing to live with my mother was a mistake because I will end up pregnant, living on welfare.
5.Early-Middle Adulthood
a.What was the transition into adulthood like for you? How did you know you were an adult? Was there a ‘rite of passage’?
I still live with my mom, so I’m not sure if I have made it yet, lol. I suppose the transition was easy. I started working at 16 and had a car and paid for it at 16. There wasn’t much of a transition.
b.Discuss physical and cognitive developmental milestones as they relate to you. Discuss milestones in your life up to this point.
Be creative
c.How influential have peers been throughout your adulthood.
Very influential, I have a new best friend that has taught me a lot about my mental instability.
d.Discuss relationships (romantic and platonic) at this age for you.
