Adolescent Screening

Based on the most severe outcome and highest possible risk, develop an intervention for the volunteer adolescent. Articulate the intervention in an APA paper including the following:
Identify ways you will engage the youth and family in an intervention. List the cultural components/elements you would employ.
• To the writer- Maybe use (Structural therapy, Solution focus) interventions that are culturally competent with the Hispanic community. With the Hispanic community, it’s all about family “familism.”
• Describe theoretical frameworks that would work best for this youth based on existing challenges and ages and stages of development and support it with literature.

• While there is no one-size-fits-all approach to interacting with individuals and families, list in order the necessary steps and possible timeframes would be required to successfully achieve the phases of the intervention you have developed.

• Briefly describe your SBIRT experience and discuss how your cultural lens was impacted as a result of this assignment exercise, explore, if would you do anything differently.
• To the Writer- the student is Hispanic the one turning in the assignment.

• The paper should be 4 – 5 pages in length and follow APA (6th Edition) formatting and style. with Journal scholar articles.

1) Identify ways you will engage the youth and family in an intervention. List the cultural components/elements you would employ. Be sure to address the need for cultural competence here and how you consider this family’s culture in your plan to engage with them.
2) Describe theoretical frameworks that would work best for this youth based on existing challenges and ages and stages of development and support it with literature. You will need sources in this section supporting your interventions as evidence based practice for this age group.
3) While there is no one-size-fits-all approach to interacting with individuals and families, list in order the necessary
steps and possible time frames would be required to successfully achieve the phases of the intervention you have developed.This section should be clinical in nature and look like a treatment plan with goals and objectives. I expect to see goals/action steps and the goals should be written in SMART format: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time specific..
4) Briefly describe your SBIRT experience and discuss how your cultural lens was impacted as a result of this assignment exercise, explore, if would you do anything differently. This section can be written in First Person as you provide self reflection.
5) The paper should be 4 – 5 pages in length and follow APA (6th Edition) formatting and style
You must show that you have researched your proposed intervention and its cultural competence as evidence based practice. Per the rubric, you are required to include 4 sources and these should be peer-reviewed journal articles.
All sections except the 4 section have to be in the third person. The sections describing the SBIRT experience can be in the first person.
