African American Inventors

    Part 1 is to find 20 African American Inventors and their invention, or a patent they may have received. They could have invented it 150 years ago or last week. You are to list each inventor with the invention, patent, or discovery and the date of the invention or patent. If what they invented is not self-explanatory to most people, then explain it. For instance, if someone invented a car tire, we understand that, but if they invented a spectrometer most of us would have to look that up. This must be in your own words, typed or handwritten, it cannot be a list just copied and pasted from the internet. The point of writing them yourself is so that you will remember them. Each inventor with their invention is worth 2 points, for a total of 40 points. Please be sure to provide me with the full name of the inventor. First and Last names. If they use only initials for first and middle then okay, but most do not. If you fail to give me the full name, I will deduct points. By the way if it is an inventor I have not heard of I will look it up. Part 2 is to the pick one of your 20 inventors and write a paragraph, about a ¼ page in length, about that inventor. What should you write? If you sat down to lunch with someone and wanted to tell them about this inventor and what you found most interesting about them what would you say? Think about it that way
