1. Read Chapters 4-6 of Applying Research in Reading Instruction for Adults.
2. Participate in either the ProLiteracy or Teaching Adults to Read (TAR) online self-paced courses that correspond with the Chapters 4, 5, or 6 of Applying Research in Reading Instruction for Adults book. In a 1-2 page paper, compare and contrast the two resources. Which provided information most relevant for you? What resources are stellar and which are still missing? Note: you will only complete one paper after participating in one of the paired courses on your choice of topics-alphabetics, vocabulary, or fluency.
