Using the Foner text, Give Me Liberty (Chapter 10) and the documents in Chapter 11 in For the Record defend Jackson’s presidency and his positive influence on the political system or take the other position and draw up an editorial showing that his presidency was anything but the “age of the common man”.

Americans? Women? African Americans? Make an argument for one or the other side of this question.
