Analyzing two stories
Compose an essay critically analyzing 2 stories we have read and evaluated in class: The Strange
Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and Frankenstein. You will evaluate the masculine prerogative by evaluating
how Utterson and the Robert, respectively,assert and relinquish power through their narrative voices.
Suggestions: you may consider the following plan in the development of your final exam: *In the first body
paragraph, you may consider evaluating how Utterson asserts masculine power in the text The Strange Case
of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. *In the second body paragraph, you may consider evaluating how Robert asserts
masculine power in the text Frankenstein. *In the last body paragraph, you may consider how Utterson and
Robert relinquish their masculine power by evaluating both texts.
The essay must comply with the minimum requirements of the assignment: a minimum of 3 complete pagesexcluding the work cited page-to be acceptable and students must incorporate 6 direct quotes(2 quotes from
the primary source per body paragraphs) to substantiate the central claim(thesis). The essay will be double
spaced and comply with MLA standards: it must be written in 12 point, Times New Roman. In addition,
