Choose any three or four authors that we have read this quarter and write a 5-page essay analyzing their ideas in relation to one another. The readings you choose must be drawn from three separate weeks of the quarter. There are a number of ways to bring these authors together. For example, how do the arguments made by Moyo, Roy, and Friedman relate to each other? What about the models of development proposed by Rostow, Sachs, and Gerschenkron? What do we learn about the role of the state from Olson, Karl, and Moyo? How, if at all, are the critiques of capitalist development presented by Gandhi, Polanyi, and Klein related to each other? You may choose to use any of these ideas or come up with your own way to synthesize the authors and arguments of the quarter. Assessment
