Order Description
n the manner of Rose’s “Blue-Collar Brilliance”: Write a paper celebrating another,
underappreciated form of intelligence (e.g., emotional, spiritual, or athletic). Following Rose’s
example, incorporate detailed observations of people who possess this quality into your argument
that illustrate this type of intelligence.
Length: a MINIMUM of 1-1/2 (one and one-half) pages but no more than 2 (two) FULL pages in length.
? The paper should be double-spaced, Times New Roman 12-point font, one-inch margins on top,
bottom, and both sides. ? The title of the paper should be at 1 inch from the top of the FIRST page
only. The text of your paper should begin ONE DOUBLE SPACE (meaning ONE return/enter) after your
title. ? Put your name and class and section number (ENG2308-002) SINGLE-SPACED in a HEADER. DO NOT
provide the other information students usually provide (i.e., course, date, my name, assignment
title, etc., all double-spaced) because it wastes space and makes me suspicious that the paper
doesn’t meet the length requirement. Your name followed by ENG2308-002 is ALL that should be in the
header of your paper. In the place where you create the header, tell the program to place the
header .5” (1/2 inch) from the top of the page. The header can appear on each page of the paper as
long as your writing/text of the paper begins 1-inch from the top on EACH PAGE. You can also skip
the header completely and handwrite this information in the top margin on the first page. If you
use typed page numbers (you can handwrite those as well), those page numbers should appear on the
top, right hand side of the each page (other than on page 1) ½ of an inch from the top of the page.
