In the responses I want to see you thinking out loud about the week's materials in advance of the class. That means that, for example, for Week Six's class on Dada and Surrealism you might write on Hugo Ball's Dada Manifesto but don't turn in a response on Week Two's materials on Simmel's Metropolis and Mental Life, though you might connect Dada's ideas of rationality to those of Simmel. Again, I want to see you thinking about each week's class in preparation for our discussions not simply turning back and repeating what we've already talked about.
