Budget reductions

    1.) As you know recently many school districts have been impacted by budget reductions which have included laying off teachers and even closing schools. As a "School Social Work Specialist" how might you help a local school or school district if you were able to volunteer your time and expertise? What type of services might you provide? and don't simply say counseling! 2.) Should health care plans include coverage for mental health disorders including substance abuse? Explain why or why not and if so how much coverage should be provided? 3.) What are some of the barriers within the criminal justice system and how might a social worker tackle those issues?
