Building Schedules & Managing Delays

Select a Transportation Project (may be real or imaginary) for example:

Pick a simple project that fulfils the basic criteria as follows:
a. Under 12 months duration
b. Under 10 millions USD in terms of cost (or any of the lowest that you can find)
c. Project about 40% completed and is already behind schedule by 5 weeks.

1. Produce a simple Gantt chart indicating the baseline, project milestones, critical path and current work done. Indicate how your team will monitor the milestones.
2. Analyze the likely risks of further delays on the project with reference to established methods ie. Foresight, Hindsight and Contemporaneous.
