The recent fire incident of Notre Dame was devastating, but French video game company Ubisoft did something to bring hope for rebuilding it. Ubisoft is famous for its Assassin's Creed series, and one of them called Unity is set during French revolution. It has accurate rendering of 1700s Paris. The iconic building features prominently as well in the game. The government stated itself likely to tap this unexpected source for restoration. From this event, I believe video games nowadays does not just bring entertainment anymore. It brings more valued elements like history, moral values, tell meaningful stories, and now even have a say in restoring historic buildings. I have a stance of believing video games nowadays can help solve world problems.
