Change the Airport Security Mindset
Since 9/11/2001, security at airports has changed dramatically. Gone are the days of running onto an airplane as the doors are
closing, or sailing through passport control with little review. Security checkpoints, coupled with the passport control process,
are crucial to the safety of every flying passenger. However, these security procedures can result in hot spots and passenger
delays, and can negatively affect an airport's level of service. Also, security checkpoints require you as a planner to provide
enough square footage in the passenger building for devices and personnel.
