Collective action for social change

The goal of a reaction paper is to present a well-argued position in response to one or more papers you have read. Your reaction paper consists of:

  1. An introduction (no more than two paragraphs),
  2. A body, and
  3. A conclusion.

(1) Introduction part
• Sentence 1 should include pertinent information such as author, title, and publication or presenter, title, and place.
• Sentence 2, 3, and 4 should give a summary or overview.
• Sentence 5 should be your thesis statement (i.e., you agree, disagree, identify with, or evaluate…)

Note: A thesis statement is an assertion, not a statement of facts. A thesis should take a stand, contain one main point, and be sufficiently specific and narrow. Your point should be explicitly related to the reading(s). It may address only one specific aspect of the readings.

(2) Body
• The body should contain paragraphs that provide support for your thesis.
• Each paragraph should contain one idea or argument.
• The topic sentence (i.e., the first sentence) of each paragraph should support the thesis.
• The final sentence of each paragraph should lead into the next paragraph.

When it comes to the thesis statement, please highlight it for me
