Contemporary Nurse Practitioner Role
Develop a coherent understanding of the scope of practice that characterizes the Australian Nurse Practitioner in an extended advanced practice role, specific for the clinical domain, in the delivery of health care; support of the individual needs of the patient/client and those of socio-cultural diversity. 2. Identify how reflective practice can enhance attributes such as critical analysis, interpretation, evaluation and synthesis to inform how the Nurse Practitioner can be a leader within clinical, professional and political contexts. 3. Explain how the nurse practitioner can contribute quality clinical care through leadership, encompassing communication and collaboration with nurses, colleagues and other health professionals; innovations in health care policy and delivery, research, safety and risk management.
