Country Project Final Write-Up
You are encouraged to include charts, graphs, and exhibits of interest. Be creative. The goal is to provide a concise summary of the events that have affected your country over the course of the semester. You may also include brief historical facts about your country. Please include the following information in your final written report: What is the countryâs most recent annual GDP? (in dollars and the annual growth rate in GDP). Also, include per capita GDP and debt to GDP ratio.
1. Is the currency pegged, fixed, or floating? If it is pegged, what is it pegged too?
2. What is the countryâs most recent annual inflation rate?
3. What is the countryâs Current Account Balance (most recent, 2021)?
4. What is the interest rate on the countryâs 10-year government bond? What is the bond rating?
5. Country population, unemployment rate, poverty rate, life expectancy in years.
6. Corporate and personal tax rates.
7. List the three largest companies and three largest industries in the country. List the major exports.
8. What type of government exists in your country? Democratic republic, etc.

10. Where does your country fall on Transparency Internationalâs 2022 (or most recent) âCorruption Perceptions Indexâ? (transparency.org)
11. Summarize your countryâs currency, market, and company performance this semester? Relate your answer to significant events in the news. What were the significant economic, social, or geo-political events that have impacted your country? Would you recommend investing in this country at the present time? Why or why not? Please make this discussion about the currency, market, and company thoughtful and a minimum of one page, single-spaced. Each of the three above items (currency, market, company) should be a minimum of one detailed paragraph each. There should also be a paragraph that explains the reasoning behind your recommendation to invest or not to invest at this time in your chosen country. Assume I know nothing of your countryâs economics and have asked you for a brief but comprehensive overview.
12. Be sure to attach sources (links) for GDP, inflation rate, interest rate on debt, bond rating, and current account balance.
