Project description
Create a fictional student. Describe his age, grade level, and a description of his academic, social and physical needs. Explain how you will meet your student’s unique needs in a classroom setting by focusing on the curriculum area(s) of reading and/or mathematics. Use the case study that is posted in this module as a model to create your own unique student.

Some pointers: In paragraphs 1 and 2, create a fictional student and refer to him or her by a fictional name. It would be helpful, but not necessary, to include his or her impairments. Fully describe your student by addressing the following domains. Include his or her age, and describe his or her developmental and skill level related to each fo the following domains: cognitive (intellectual), language, social-emotional, and physical.

In paragraphs 3-5, you will synthesize the information you gathered in textbook chapters 1 7 and refer to the instructional approaches and teaching strategies that will best meet the students’ needs that you described in your first paragraph. Include accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology that would be necessary and appropriate for your student.

Helpful hint Look for the sections of the book that are entitled, Teaching Strategies & Accommodations along with the chapters content.

Put your information in a Word Document and upload to Moodle.

When you are all done, create a lesson plan for your fictional
