More than a tradition.
Write a short story about a tradition and use the techniques you have studied in Pante and Saunder’s pieces along with your careful use of language to communicate the significance of this tradition. Whether you wish to write about something true (nonfiction) or made up (fiction) is your choice.
Content: What tradition you choose to write about is entirely up to you. This a creative assignment. So, be creative. Have fun.
Organization & Formatting: You can organize and format your story however you wish. Consider the organizational choices you make and why you made them. Consider how and when you reveal certain details and how the order affects and/or creates a certain experience for the reader.
Language: Be mindful of language. Check for both global (verb tense, word form, etc.) and local (subject-verb agreement, capitalization) errors. Conference with your instructor and make an appointment with the writing center for language support.
