A researcher rode along with police officers from the Los Angeles Police Department for one year, recording data about the traffic stops conducted. The purpose of this research was to determine what the most common cause the officer stopped the individual for. 1. What type of data is this? Are there validity and/or reliability issues to consider? 2. What other types of data can be used to supplement this data. What would they add? 3. Think of 2 alternative topics that can be developed utilizing this data. When programs do not achieve their expected results, it’s due to one of two things: the program was not a good idea to begin with, or it was a good idea but was not implemented properly. Discuss thoroughly why it is necessary to conduct both a process evaluation and an impact evaluation to learn why a program failed.
