Through the book “The essential guide to workplace mediation & conflict resolution: Rebuilding Working Relationships”, by Nora Doherty, Marcelas Guyler please follow:

steps of mediation which are:
Step 1: Introduction and ground rules.
Step 2: Hearing and summarizing back.
Step 3: Identifying and discussing the issues.
Step 4: Mutual understanding and communicating feelings.
Step 5: Idea-Storming and exploring win-win solutions.
Step 6: Signing the voluntary agreements and arranging a follow-up meeting.
It will be helpful to take notes while watching the scenario with Bernard, the senior manager, Kirsty and Paul, the employees in conflict, and the mediator.
Part Two: Using the six step mediation model as a guide, critically analyze the mediation and the mediator’s effectiveness. Your written responses must utilize APA
style, proper grammar (including 3rd person objectivity), and critical thinking. Simple yes or no responses will not be accepted nor will any group submissions be
accepted! Your step-by-step analysis should be 3-5 pages in length and must be your own individual work. After analyzing each step, answer the Qualitative Questions.
1. Was this a (un)successful mediation? If so, why or why not?
2. If you were the mediator, what would you have done differently? What did she do well or not do well?
3. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best and 1 being the worst, give the mediator a rating and justify why.
