The aim of this take-home examination is to assess your critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as demonstrate your understanding of the course materials. 1. Stanley Cohen (1972) argues that ‘a moral panic arises when a condition, episode or group are perceived to be a threat to society’ (Cummings & Rothengatter 2016, p. 36).
