Using the data from your selected table identify and describe a specific health problem that should be the focus of one research subject in public health or health administration. Clearly state why this problem needs to be addressed and back up your statement with data from the table. Identify your target population. B. Policy Development
Focusing on the health problem and the target population you identified in part A, propose a theory based public health or health administration. Use one of the theories/models described in your research interests & outside sources and be specific about how you propose to incorporate the theory/model into your answer. Describe your answer in terms of strategy, goals, methods of communications, etc. Briefly explain why you chose the theory/model instead of the alternatives. C. Assurance
List three key hypotheses generated by the theory’s application to your health problem and target population. Discuss how testing those hypotheses will inform you about the utility of the theory and (the effectiveness of) your research in public health or health administration. (maximum 2 double-spaced pages)
D. Writing Specific Aims
Develop the outline of a project that would test one or more of the hypotheses listed in part C. Write the specific aims section of a research (or funding) proposal for that project. Use a minimum of five references in the specific aims page. (maximum 1 single-spaced page; references do not count in page limit)
