s.html)PART I
If I was a political candidate, the first Social problem that
I would address is bullying and race discrimination . In
my line of work, I am faced with bullying due to senior leaders
using their position/rank to disrespect and belittle personals
in lesser rank than him/ her. The military has programs that
can address this issue but sometimes they are not affective and at
times can lead to reprisal. I have read the Syllabus and understand
the course policies, expectations, and due dates.
PART II
I reviewed the narrative on the single mother of two boys. This story was
Touching to me because I am a single mother of two girls. I know the struggle
Of going to work and dropping my kids off to daycare or a babysitter. It is really hard
When you do not have help or the kids fathers are not in their life. I felt the pain
Of this mother losing her child. When she thought the world has forgotten about
Her child, she realized that Someone due care and wanted to help. Another narrative,
I read was the story about the little girl who moved from Coney Island to Long
Island. Moving in her new home seeing the painting of racial slurs was not inviting for her
Family. Then, being told to leave because black people isn’t allowed on boat. This shows that racism
Start with the parents. I too as a child experienced racial discrimination. The first time, I heard to the
Word Nigger was in elementary school. A little girl called me a nigger. I asked the teacher what is a nigger?
She was very surprised and asked me who said that ? Then, she put the little girl in timeout. I think this kind of
behavior comes from the parents of that little girl.
