The Employment law project will consist of a written paper. You will select an organization of your choice and a policy (i.e., FLSA, FMLA, Employee-at-will doctrine, etc.). You will define the policy, discuss its history, determine if your selected organization is in compliance with this policy, what they are doing to be in compliance, and provide recommendations for improvement as well as assure that decisions being made are not contrary to law. Your paper should include the following:
Title page
Abstract (A brief summary of your paper)
The organization selected with the following information:
Mission statement of the organization
Goals and Values of the organization
The selected policy and its definition/purpose
History of selected policy (How did it come into being? Why? Etc.)
Compliance of this policy (How will the organization comply with the policy? Elaborate)
How this policy affects the organization
Recommendations for improvement
References: You should have at least 3 references MLA style
Double spaced, 12 font and at least 5 or more pages
How the Paper will be graded
Grade A: All items requested are in the paper, the paper is free of grammatical errors; student displays an understanding of what their selected policy is and how it functions in their selected organization; student is able to apply course materials to the paper.
Grade B: All items requested are in the paper, the paper only has a few grammatical errors; student displays a moderate understanding of what their selected policy is and how it functions in their selected organization; student has a little ability to apply course materials to the paper.
Grade C: All items requested are in the paper, the paper has grammatical errors; student displays little understanding of what their selected policy is and how it functions in their selected organization; student struggles to apply course materials to the paper.
Grade D: Missing items requested in the paper, the paper has lots of grammatical errors; student struggles to display an understanding of what their selected policy is and how it functions in their selected organization, student is unable to apply course materials to the paper.
Grade F: Missing items requested in the paper, the paper has lots of grammatical errors; student does not understand what their selected policy is and how it functions in their selected organization; student does not apply course materials to the paper.
