  Some believe that the misbehavior at Enron was attributable to “bad apples”—people who would have acted unethically no matter where they worked. Others believe that the misbehavior at Enron stemmed from contextual factors (e.g., company culture, incentives, lax regulations, etc.) that would have led many people to act unethically if they were in the same situation.
