Evaluation: Givers, Takers, and Matchers’ In his 2016 TEDTalk, Adam Grant discusses his approach to life and sets forth criteria for identifying givers, takers, and matchers. Givers are
generous,team-builders who burn out easily. Takers are self-serving users who rise quickly by taking advantage of givers. Matchers seek justice by having a quid-pro-quo and an eye-for-an-eye
attitude towards interactions.
Write an evaluation essay using Grant’s giver, taker, and matcher criteria to judge one of these people from the Radio lab stories: Nick Corrigan, Ibrahim Hussein, Lulu Miller, or Soo.(Keep in
mind: this is NOT your criteria on giving and taking or your opinion about this individual.) Evaluate if the individual is a giver, taker, or matcher. Use four sources to support.
Use evaluation organization. Explain terms as needed. Incorporate a summary of Grant’s idea and criteria as well as a summary of the individuals radio lab story and idea. Support the evaluation
with textual evidence and evidence from additional sources. Integrate basic summaries for all sources. Use correct MLA in-text citation and 8th edition MLA Works Cited page formatting.

3. Detection and analysis of recombinant dihydrofolate reductase
Describe the use of recombinant proteins in research, pharmaceuticals, and other
industries
? Identify challenges and considerations for the production of recombinant proteins
? Suggest how expression and purification of tagged dihydrofolate reductase proteins
could be used for further research and drug design
? Analyze fusion proteins computationally through sequence analysis
? Analyze fusion proteins experimentally by Western Blot
? Identify potential sources of error/variation based on experimental procedures and
analysis of your results
