Lets say we have a dipole antenna with a resistance of 50 W, an inductive reactance, Xl,A of 30 W and a capacitive reactance, Xc,A of 15 W.
We can find the impedance of the antenna using Z = √(R2+(XL -XC)2)
This value is added to the free space impedance of 377 W.
The receiver has an inductive reactance, XL,R of 45 W and a capacitive reactance of 20 W. The video indicated a “Feedhorn” is added to make the impedances
equal. What resistance should the “Feedhorn” be set at for this to occur?
