  Genetics/ Bio work individually. Select an article from a scientific journal, newspaper, or news magazine published in the last six months (1 pt). You may access an article on-line, but it should come from a source that also produces a print version. (Use your syllabus for ideas) (1 pts):3.Write a short essay (1-2 pages) about your article that you read. A.Give the correct, full citation for the article at the beginning of the essay. (1 pt)B.Begin your essay by summarizing the article in your own words. Do not quote directly from the article. (2 pts)C.Also, address the following questions in your essay:1.Are the qualifications and expertise of the author stated and if so what are they? (1 pts) 2.What are the qualifications/expertise of the expert opinions cited or quoted (do this foreach person or organization)? Did they give you enough information to explain the article(1 pts)3.Discuss use of photographs, tables, figures, and other graphics. Were they used? Were they accurate? What was the source? Did they support the thesis of the article? Did they have an emotional impact? (1 pt)4..Explain the science behind the genetic issue in the article. Was the science of microbiology used properly? Or explained so a person who has not taken this class could understand it? Provide 1 extra reference to support your explanation.
