Description
Students must choose to research one of the following topics:
• Topic #1: What was the Industrial Revolution and why did it begin in England. Describe its importance to both Great Britain and then later to the global community. Include an analysis of the costs of such industrialization and its effects on the global community and the United States.
• Topic #2: Examine the conditions that led to the French Revolution in 1789 and the changes that occurred in France as a result of the revolution. Analyze, compare and contrast the French Revolution to the American Revolution.
• Topic #3: Analyze and discuss the Berlin Blockade and crisis that developed between 1948 and 1961. Discuss its importance in terms of the Cold War between the United States and Soviet Union.
• Topic #4: Trace the development of the League of Nations from its birth to its demise. Describe its infrastructure and the reason for its death.
• Topic 5: Examine the role played by the airplanes during the World War I era.
• Topic 6: Examine the role played by women in the scientific revolution (16th and 17th Centuries). Include a discussion on the role played by Margaret Cavendish (1623-1673) of England and the importance of her works.
