Heroin
Since his election in 2016, the 45th president, Donald Trump, has made America's drug addiction problem one of the issues he wants to see resolved. His focus has been on prescription drugs, more specifically, opioids. Heroin is an opiate, but it is not a prescription drug. It is the street equivalent of opioids like Oxycontin, Vicodin, and Percocet. After watching this 2016 documentary, consider the international norms about drug use, the global narrative about drug use (if there wasn't a demand for it, it wouldn't be a supply) as opposed to the US narrative (it's the fault of the drug dealers, cartels, and illegals coming into the US), and where the crimes associated with legal and street drugs should be controlled (locally or internationally).
