How does Alcott describe (a) the image of nurses; (b) her education and training as a nurse; and (c) her role, or work, as a Civil War nurse? Compare and contrast Alcott’s experiences with what our book says about the image, training, education, and role (work) of American nurses in the Civil War era (1850 to 1864).
