How modern musicians make a living

    How do modern musicians make a living? Choose one of your own favorite modern musical artists. (It does not have to be someone who is extremely famous.) How does your chosen artist make a living and market himself or herself? Is it music sales alone? Do they have additional income streams? Do they perhaps have an additional job? Discuss their marketing strategies and whether or not you feel that impacts their income. It is not required, but feel free to include a video link to one of your chosen artist’s pieces. Please be sure to make note if it is explicit in any way out of respect for your classmates and in accordance with our discussion ground rules.
