Question: Explain how poverty and racism go hand in hand in creating the stage for criminal behavior, especially for women (Hint: feminization of poverty).
case 1 I think that poverty and racism go hand in hand with creating criminal behavior because we connect both of these aspects together. We only think that poverty leads to criminal behaviors and that certain racial groups commit more behaviors than others although it is wrong. There might be young adults that don't allow where they come from to intervene in their education or what they deem as right or wrong. But I also think that people who do live in bad neighborhoods or in poverty are more connected to criminal behavior because they are more in need of money or are more willing to deal drugs or steal convenient stores to get money. I think we also think that most of the criminal behaviors that are being committed are done by African Americans or Hispanics, but that is not true Caucasians commit the same or more of the same types of behavior as other racial groups. The big difference is that crimes committed by Hispanics or blacks are shown more on the news than crimes made by white people. Yes, I also think that in some cases poverty does make us do things that are not moral or that are ethical but sometimes they are things that we need to do in order to survive, and that really is not seen in wealthy or middle class, because the money is there in comparison to others who might not have it. I have lived in pretty bad neighborhoods but we have never have had to commit crimes to get money, but I have seen how drugs and crime just lead to more crimes and that sometimes you think that because you rob one place or that you sell a few drugs to get a little money. In reality it never really stops because you won't have that money forever, everything costs money and money is always being wasted. I think that yes criminal behavior can be associated with crime and racism because although it's hard to hear the most people like myself who are not rich are people who come from different countries like myself and black generations. I am also not stating that only white people are rich or that they don't live in poverty but we live in a world where they are the minority to live in poverty.
