Order Description
Link human rights to contemporary conflict, war and advantages and disadvantages
The whole presentation is on – Highlight what you consider to be the main aspects of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and their relevance in contemporary conflicts/wars?
My part is to Link the 3 that The group has chosen, to contemporary conflict/war/disadvantages/advantages.
The three human rights articles The group has chosen is article 2(the right to no discrimination), article 18 (The right to freedom of thought and religion) and article 20 (the right to freedom of assembly association)
Article 2.
•Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.
Article 18.
• Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.
Article 20.
• (1) Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association.
• (2) No one may be compelled to belong to an association.
These 3 articles have to be linked to contemporary conflict, war and their advantages and disadvantages and how it could defuse or create war
(Id rather it was in a speech format as I can put the PowerPoint together but I have to present it so a speech format in word document would be best)
