Infographics used by non-profit or for-profit organizations
Find 5 examples of infographics used by non-profit or for-profit organizations produced in the past 5 years. Drawing from them for inspiration, and drawing from data you gather about your nonprofit, create an infographic for them that suits their strategic goals. Remember: an infographic is not just a graphic that displays information!!!! Don't be misled by samples and templates. An infographic displays complex data or processes through a graphic. In other words, the graphic makes it easier to understand difficult material (e.g., how do you help someone visualize "1 in 10 people," "1 million dogs," or "20 million tons of plastic waste in the ocean"?).
1. Include your 5 examples and explain what you drew from them in terms of inspiration (a couple of sentences each). What's working and what isn't in each? Provide links to where you found the examples.
2. Explain the goals, target audience(s), strategy, and objectives you are trying to meet. Explain how your project meets those, including how it would be circulated (through what media, places, events, etc. it makes the most sense to appear).
3. Create the infographic project in Visme, Adobe Illustrator or Microsoft PowerPoint, making sure it looks and feels like it comes from your brand, at the same level of professionalism (or better, make it look like what you think your brand should be making).
