a. Critically choose and implement interventions to achieve practice goals and enhance capacities of clients and constituencies.
- The student will be able to make certain adjustments to the interventions together with the client if there is no improvement.
b. Apply knowledge of human behavior and the social environment, person-in-environment, and other multidisciplinary theoretical frameworks in
interventions with clients and constituencies.
- The student will be able to join a pre-test/post-test evaluation to see if the interventions are effective or need to be improved.
c. Use inter-professional collaboration as appropriate to achieve beneficial practice outcomes.
- The student will be able to conduct an in-depth and complete assessment and refer to other professionals for further evaluation should there be a need.
d. Negotiate, mediate, and advocate with and on behalf of diverse clients and constituencies.
- The student will learn about relevant issues that affect the people who are placed in nursing homes and come up with strategies to properly advocate for
them.
e. Facilitate effective transitions and endings that advance mutually agreed-on goals.
- The student will be able to terminate in the helping process once goals have been met and discharge can be processed, with follow-up plans in place.
