Watch the media “Phase 3: Planned Change Process: Intervention” and complete the interactive activities. As you watch the scenario, focus on the following concepts. You should be prepared to respond to these in your supervision meeting:
How did Jennifer critically choose and implement interventions to achieve goals and enhance capacities of her clients? Was there anything else she could have done?
How did Jennifer apply knowledge of human behavior and the social environment, person-in-environment, and other multidisciplinary theoretical frameworks in interventions with her clients?
How did Jennifer use inter-professional collaboration to achieve beneficial practice outcomes?
How did Jennifer negotiate, mediate, and advocate for her clients? Could she have done anything else?
What steps could Jennifer take to better facilitate transitions and endings?
In your field placement agency, what policies, procedures, and expectations do you feel reinforce and encourage or undermine inter-professional collaboration?
Which of the following roles assumed by social workers is the most consistent with your strengths? Explain.
Compare the best practices presented in the multimedia scenario with your field experience.
Use the same field experience situation you selected in Workshop Two and continue creating your case study presentation. Use pseudonyms to protect clients’ privacy and confidentiality. Note: Please research and adhere to your agency’s confidentiality guidelines regarding sharing case studies.
Create presentation slides on the intervention phase of the planned change process, illustrating the case study from your field experience. You are encouraged to include your slides on the engagement and assessment phases with your revisions based on your instructor’s feedback.
There is no required number of slides; rather, use the appropriate number of slides to convey your ideas.
Address the following:

What was the client’s level of involvement in the intervention plan and what was your level of involvement as the social worker?
How did you apply knowledge of human behavior and the social environment, person-in-environment, and other multidisciplinary theoretical frameworks in interventions with clients and constituencies?
How did you use inter-professional collaboration, as appropriate, to achieve beneficial practice outcomes?
Evaluate your ability to negotiate, mediate, and advocate with and on behalf of diverse clients and constituencies.
How did you initiate effective transitions and terminations that advance the mutually agreed-on goals?
