Please write and post a personal introduction during the first week of class. Your introduction should be 300-500 words long and must include an
appropriate picture of yourself. The introductions are intended for all of us to get to know one another and to remove the sense of anonymity that
otherwise can exist in a fully on-line class. Creating a sense of community will be particularly important for the text analyses and responses to
succeed. It should also make the class much more enjoyable and less detached for everyone.
Your personal introduction consists of two sections. The first section describes a bit about who you are as a student (at SDSU or elsewhere). The
second section describes who you are outside of your school environment. The total should amount to around 300-500 words (it took me 650 words
but don't feel like yours has to be that long). The goal here is to provide some sense of who you are and to capture a small part of your personality.
Please do share whatever you are comfortable sharing – but don't feel like you have to share your deepest and darkest secrets (people are going to
read these after all)
