Literary Analysis/Argumentative Essay: This option is a Lit Analysis essay based on Philip K Dick’s (PKD) novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, analyzing the symbols and themes in
the text and identifying their relevance for modern day readers. The idea here is to expand on our discussions of the major themes/symbols discussed in class and analyze his 1960’s allegory. Then, explain its relevance to current technology. Did PDK accurately predict aspects of our techno- sociological world today and in what way PKD’s novel might be prophetic?
