Compare the activity of a single brain region across at least 2 different tasks. How similar are the tasks being used? What can we conclude about the function of the brain area based on its activity across different tasks?
Professor is very strict about APA citations. My professor also gave very specific instructions on how the assignment should also be completed and again is very strict about those instructions being followed.
- There should be title page - in accordance with APA citation standards
- Introduction section: clearly explain the research question and hypothesis. In this section provide some background history on the topic (research question),
- Methods section: in your analysis and comparison of the 2 research methods/articles, methods section please pay close attention to the technique (correlation study, animal work, experiment, case study, Brian imaging, etc.), sample, design, and stimuli/material. However, do not make this section too long. Keep it concise yet informative.
- Results section: make sure you pay close attention to descriptive statistics (you want to understand the pattern of the data). Ideally, you should analyze the appropriateness of the voice of statistical analysis used. Are effect size noted, if not you can an idea of the effect size from the descriptive statistics?
- Discussion section: This section should summarize important findings, but make sure you compare the author's conclusions with the results. As for how does the conclusion compares with the hypothesis of the articles. Make sure the conclusions are based only on the data and not on your own inferences of the data.
