I think either (current state of Long Island Indians, or a different topic) could work, but you'll need to make the
connection to cities/urban geography clear. You'll need to define a research question/set of questions, limit your
scope, and frame your analysis (defending a position, critiquing something,giving policy recommendations,
comparing cases, etc.). For example, what about redlining might you want to look into? Would you be looking
at a specific city? A specific demographic? A specific time period? Certain legacies of redlining that continue
today, despite redlining being illegal? For the topic of Long Island Indians, what about this group would you
want to write about? Specific cultural elements that have influenced the formation of cities?
