Mark Clements' adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol"
1. You are to choose one of the following Theatre Artist Professions:
Director, Playwright, Actor, Sound Designer, Costume Designer, Make Up Artist, Puppeteer,
or Digital Designer (I’m also open to others).
2. You are to choose a play or musical of your choice that you will select a scene from which is Mark Clements' adaptation of Charles Dickens' "A
Christmas Carol". You will only be presenting about one scene.
3. Using what you learned this semester about Theatre and the profession of that given Theatre Artist, create 3 theatrical elements that this Artist
would use to perform/design in a play or musical. For example, if you decide to step into the shoes of a Costume Designer for the musical Hamilton,
you might choose to illustrate
renderings (that are different from the original musical) of 3 costumes for 3 different characters OR if you choose to be an Actor, you might prepare a
memorized monologue,
wear a costume and effectively use a prop during your performance OR if you choose to
be a Playwright you would provide dramaturgical research for a scene you adapted,
provide the adapted script, and choose actors to read the scene.
