Math beliefs reflection
identify potential bias and beliefs regarding math education. Students will complete a pre- and post-survey on the teaching and learning of mathematics and reflect on their findings in a 2- to 3-page paper.
Rationale
As educators, our values and beliefs impact our actions in the classroom and thus, have implications for student outcomes. Identifying our beliefs and thinking deeply about where they stem from as well as how they may impact our actions allows us to start to open ourselves up to differing perspectives.
