Matlab assignment

In this assignment you will be building an indirect model. This will be used to model the flow and conversion of radioactive chemicals over time. So why is

this important? Well previously you built direct models where there was a direct cause and effect relationship between the populations being modeled. For

example, remember the model with rabbits and foxes? Well foxes eat rabbits and this direct relationship is observed in the model. With indirect models, this

direct relationship may not immediately be visible. In the case of a radioactive decay chain, a specific element may change state about 3 or 4 times before it

can’t be changed anymore, that it, it has reached a stable state. In this case, while you may notice a change in the first element to the second element in

the chain, the other elements are not immediately visible, or at least you don’t have any immediate/direct contact with them. Another place where these models

are commonly used is in sales. Think about large car companies, you can directly purchase a car from the parent company or you can purchase it indirectly from

a car dealership that buys from the parent car company and then sells to you. This assignment therefore gives you some insights on other models that are

commonly used to help make everyday decisions.
