Measuring Leadership Effectiveness

  The importance for leaders to be effective was emphasized throughout the proceeding modules. The challenge we want to address in this assignment is how leadership effectiveness can be measured. Effective managers can be measured on the extent that goals or tasks are achieved, but leadership is not a position that focuses on tasks but rather a relational process with follower(s). Consequently, indirect approaches may be more applicable. The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize the student with scholarly content that could potentially be applied directly in current workplace responsibilities along with future research studies in leadership development.
